Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in Mexico in observance when Mexican troops in the state of Puebla were victorious over a larger French army in 1862. In the United States the fifth of May is a day to celebrate all things Mexican. A large part of the celebration in the US means consuming plenty of Mexican beer and tequila.
