Vodka lovers rejoice, Tuesday October 4th is National Vodka Day! Reyka Vodka made with the pure glacial waters of Iceland naturally filtered through volcanic rocks is the perfect vodka to celebrate with. Since October 4th is not quite summer anymore, and not quite autumn, here are two recipes to chose from whatever temperature is where you are.
Reyka Roots Collins
1 part Reyka Vodka
1 part ROOT Liqueur
½ part Sassafras & Sarsaparilla Syrup
¼ part Lemon Juice
1/8 part Hudson Rye/Averna Amaro Blend (1:1)
Top Maine Root Ginger Beer or Fever-Tree Ginger Beer
Combine all ingredients into cocktail shaker except ginger beer. Shake, serve in Collins glass, top with ginger beer and garnish with lemon wheel
Sassafras & Sarsaparilla Syrup 4 cups water to 4 cups sugar. Add 1/3 cup sassafras & 1/3 cup sarsaparilla in a pot and heat. After mix is complete, add 2 Tablespoons of Root Beer Extract.
Pumpkin Spiced Lebowski
2 parts Reyka Vodka
1 part Coffee Liqueur
1 part Heavy Cream
½ tsp. of Pumpkin Pie Spice
Combine heavy cream and pumpkin pie spice into cocktail shaker and shake. Add Reyka Vodka and Coffee Liqueur and shake with ice. Serve on the rocks and garnish with cocoa puffs.
