Kettmeir, Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige, Italy, 2014

IMG_0207is light golden yellow in the glass.   The Kettmeir, Pinot Bianco has fresh aromas of Granny Smith Apple, lemon rind and wild flowers. The palate is dominated by tart Granny Smith’s, lemon and lime peel, kiwi and minerals leading to a medium finish. The tart finish has mouth-cleansing acidity that leaves your palate wanting more.

The Kettmeir, Pinot Bianco is the perfect match for lighter seafood dishes in a creamy sauce. The sharp acidity of the wine will cut through any rich creamy sauce.

Also try some mild cured meats and cheeses with some slightly bitter baby arugula.

Pinot Bianco is like a souped Pinot Grigio, a little more aromatic, rich palate, tart acidity and very nice minerality. It’s time to add Kettmeir, Pinot Bianco to your wine cooler. Pinot Bianco is also meant to be drunk young so the 2014’s are drinking perfectly right now.
