Grovetoberfest’s Tony Albelo has announced his latest free tasting leading up to the big day. The Pope’s visit inspired this tasting. Tony seems to embrace the “Pope of the People” and is invoking his good qualities, soccer fan, taker of selfies and willingness to spread forgiveness. Tony is also impressed that the Pope oversees Europe’s smallest country with the best-dressed security detail in the world as well, the Swiss Guards and according to Tony he also loves to drink beer.
So In honor of the Pope Francis this free tasting will feature beers rated 90 points and above and all for free. I’m sure the Pope would bless this event for being so generous. To be fair this event is non denominational and everyone is welcome.
Free Tasting #3 is Tuesday September 29th at Biscayne Bay Brewing at 7pm. Biscayne Bay Brewing Company is located at 800NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33122.
Tony also wants to remind all home brewers that entries to the home brew contest for Grovetoberfest must be entered by September 30th. The home brew winner is awarded Best in Show, a very worthy award.
As a reminder, Grovetoberfest will be held at Coconut Grove’s Peacock Park on Saturday October 17th. Over 300 beers, live music food and more in South Florida’s largest beer festival.
